Care and washing instructions

CARE POLICY AND WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

At CIENTONCE SAS, we craft our garments with high-performance technical materials designed to provide comfort, fit, and durability. Proper care of garments is essential to preserve their properties, colors, prints, elasticity, and lifespan.

General recommendations

  • Wash garments after each use.
  • Do not leave damp garments inside bags, suitcases, or closed containers.
  • If immediate washing is not possible, hang them in a ventilated area until washed.
  • Avoid prolonged contact with creams, oils, sunscreens, abrasive surfaces, Velcro, zippers, and sharp objects.
  • It is recommended to wash sports garments separately from other clothes.

Washing instructions

  • Wash at a maximum of 30°C.
  • Use a delicate cycle or hand wash.
  • Turn garments inside out before washing to protect colors, prints, and finishes.
  • Fully close zippers and snaps before washing.
  • Use mild liquid detergent.
  • Do not use bleach, chlorine, or abrasive products.
  • Do not use fabric softeners, as they reduce breathability and can affect technical fibers.
  • Do not wash with towels, jeans, or garments with Velcro or elements that can cause friction.
  • The use of laundry bags for delicate garments is recommended.
  • Do not let soak to prevent color bleeding that could contaminate or stain the same garment or others.

Drying

  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not wring garments to remove water.
  • Air dry in a ventilated area.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to sun or direct heat sources.
  • Do not hang garments by straps, sleeves, or elastic areas to avoid deformation.

Ironing

  • Do not iron directly over prints, logos, reflective elements, or sublimated areas.
  • Do not use steam or high temperatures.
  • In general, garments do not require ironing.

Chamois and cycling garment care

  • Pants and bib shorts should be washed after each use.
  • Do not reuse damp or unwashed garments.
  • Accumulation of sweat and bacteria can deteriorate foams and affect chamois comfort.
  • It is recommended to dry garments completely before storing them.
  • Do not sun dry.

Storage

  • Store garments in dry and ventilated places.
  • Avoid continuous exposure to sunlight.
  • Do not store damp garments.
  • Avoid excessively folding or compressing areas with prints, silicones, or reflective elements.

Important warnings

Failure to follow these instructions may cause:

  • Loss of elasticity.
  • Premature wear of fibers.
  • Deterioration of prints and reflective elements.
  • Fabric discoloration.
  • Decrease in the garment's breathability and compression properties.

Damages caused by improper use, incorrect washing, exposure to high temperatures, use of a tumble dryer, bleaches, fabric softeners, or aggressive chemical products are not manufacturing defects and, therefore, will not be covered by the warranty.
